Concerning the Inhabitants of Devidica...

Who the Bleep are all these people?!

Seriously, the majority of the characters listed in the wiki have nothing to do with the book itself. Sure, a historical figure here and there is good. But what about Characters like Nope!? I know for certainly she has nothing to do with Yosho and Dinishi. The same applied for a bunch of other charaters whom i know exist in the world, but have absolutely no bearing on the book.

Its nice to have a nice and expansive world, but the mind of a human can only compute so much before it needs to archive things. Why does my brain spout out these crazy concepts when conciously I know that I may never use them? Don't get me wrong, I would love to apply someone like Nope to Yosho's life to act as yet another ssarcastic thorn in his side; but she simply does not belong in Yosho's life. Its how the world works; those character just don't apply themselves to that part of the world.

Its like Mr. Richardsworth in London(*Instant Ficticious Character: GO!*), he will never come to your house and explain his life story to you. You do not know he exists, and he does not know you exist. If he died in the most horrible way possible, it would have no bearing on your life. Conversely, if he became the bestest person in the whole world, it still would not affect you beyond a news report. Why? He doesn't live near you. You and he are not important enough to each other to go out of your way to interact with eachother.

You best friend, Jimbo, on the other hand, has a great impact on your life. Characters like Nope are the Mr. Richardsworth of Yosho/Dinishi's life. I don't even know where Nope lives, exactly, and yet I know she exists.

If it ever gets to the point where you, my loyal fans(I beleive the count is at 3 at the time of this post, and I don't think any know about this blog), come across a character that you just fall in love with, let me know, and I will deal with them. I only recently found out Feirahn has a large role in the book because I thought about her for weeks on end. The apiffiny was actually fairly simple, and made me feel so dumb a grown man would cry, but sometimes it take tedious, unending thought to come up with such small things because we're so dazzeled by the greater picture.

Anyway, This is my rant about why I have characters I may never use. I end here, for now....
